Ever wonder how nonprofits and businesses get their press releases out? Or, if you work for a nonprofit, ever wonder the best way to get your press releases out?
AAJA will be hosting a series of media access workshops in select cities in 2018 to 2019 geared toward increasing media knowledge for nonprofits and community leaders.
AAJA, in association with the Democracy Fund, will host these workshops to teach local community leaders and nonprofits the ropes of working with the media.
A panel of local journalists will teach participants how to pitch stories, and write opinion pieces to submit to local news organizations.
If you’re part of a nonprofit or a business owner, this workshop is a great way to learn about how news stories get placed, how to get access to journalists and the best practices for people who want to learn more about business and nonprofit media.
