Fundraisers

AAJA SF is joining a number of community partners to co-sponsor a benefit for
the victims of typhoon Ketsana. The massive flooding in Metropolitan Manila in
the Philippines has claimed hundreds of lives and displaced over 700,000 people in what
is considered the worst such calamity in the region’s history. The impact of this
unfortunate event will be felt for many months ahead and the country will need
a lot of help from the global community in rehabilitation efforts as well as in dealing
with resulting food and basic supply shortages and the spread of disease.

A big thanks to everyone who supported East West Eats this year and made it a success. We partnered with top Asian American chefs from the region to present this elegant culinary event on June 14 at the San Francisco War Memorial Building’s Green Room. With your help and the help of our sponsors and donors, we raised more than $10,000 for our student journalism scholarship program. Find more information about East West Eats and our scholarship program by clicking on the pages on the right.

Thanks to everyone who came out to East West Eats this past Sunday and
made it a success! We hope you enjoyed the great food, the beverages,
Martin Yan's cooking demonstrations and the live music at the San
Francisco War Memorial Building Green Room.

East West Eats raises money for the student scholarship program, which
this year is giving $10,000 to six recipients. That wouldn't be
possible without your support, the support of our event sponsors and
our partnering chefs.
