AAJA SF awards grants to help members cover the cost of the AAJA National Convention, its Executive Leadership Program, the Unity Convention and for professional development.
For example, the chapter gave seven $400 grants to chapter members attending the 2009 AAJA National Convention from Aug. 12-15 in Boston. Recipients completed an application form, in which they discussed why they want to attend the convention and how the grants would be helpful. The grants were distributed based on need, and helped defray the cost of registration, travel, lodging and other related training costs.
