AAJA SF is encouraging high school seniors, college undergraduates and graduate students who live in or attend school in the Bay Area and who are pursuing journalism to apply for this great opportunity. Past recipients have received awards ranging from $500 to $4,000, and have gone on to produce amazing work and to be part of major news organizations including the New York Times and NBC.

Editor Jonathan Weber intends to hire at least 15 journalists this year as part of his aim for “building a stellar newsroom to cover Bay Area government and politics, the arts, business, entertainment, community news and other topics.”
