Student Pizza Night is back at San Jose State University!

Come join us at 7 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Dwight Bentel Hall 226. Ron Kitagawa of the San Jose Mercury News, Curtiss Kim of KSRO Radio, Adelaide Chin of Patch.com and LiPo Ching of the San Jose Mercury News will talk about how the way they practice journalism has changed with the evolving industry. Students are welcome to come and ask lots of questions. We’ll also have free pizza and soft drinks!

Don’t forget this year we will award up to $10,000 in scholarships to talented student journalists. Download a copy of the scholarship application at www.aajasf.org/scholarship and submit it by

Join us for an evening with AAJA member Cheryl Tan, author of “A Tiger in the Kitchen: A Memoir of Food and Family.”

The evening will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10 at Books Inc. at 601 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco. Cheryl will read from her memoir and talk about how she transitioned from being a Wall Street Journal reporter to a food author. She will also be signing copies of her book.

Afterward, you are invited to join us for a no-host drinks and dessert at Max’s Opera Cafe, located next door to the bookstore.

COST: $25 for members, $20 for students, $28 for nonmembers, $8 for
